On
the behalf of the International Advanced Biology Consortium (CIBA), the
Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa, Brazil), through the
National Research Centers for Cassava and Fruits (CNPMF, Brazil) and Genetic
Resources and Biotecnology (Cenargen, Brazil), the State University of Santa
Cruz (UESC, Brazil), the Centre de Coopération Internationale en Recherche
Agronomique pour le Développement (Cirad, France) and the Institut de Recherche
pour le Développement (IRD, France) are organizing the CIBA 2013 Workshop on
Biotic and Abiotic Stress Tolerance in Plants: the Challenge for the 21st
Century.
The
event will be held from November 6th to 8th, 2013 in the Canabrava Resort, in
Ilhéus (Bahia, Brazil).
This
is an international and multidisciplinary event that will include many talks
from national and international renowned researchers in the fields of Plant
Breeding and Plant Physiology. The target audience, of approximately 200
participants among researchers, undergraduate and graduate students and
professionals in the area, will have access to most recent information on the
topic “biotic and abiotic stress in cultivated plants”, providing an unique
opportunity for debate and discussion in order to broaden and best direct their
research.
